Introduction to the Course
Ultrasound screening in the first trimester plays a crucial role in early pregnancy assessment, aiding in the detection of fetal viability, determining gestational age, identifying multiple pregnancies and assessing early pregnancy complications and potential abnormalities. It can also be used to measure nuchal translucency for aneuploidy screening and assessing uterine arteries for preeclampsia risk.
In this pre-congress First Trimester Ultrasound Course, you will acquire knowledge on assessing the fetus in early pregnancy, including early confirmation of gestational age, screening for abnormalities, and assessing the risk for pre-eclampsia. You will also be able to participate in small group teaching with the facilitators and hands-on activities with real patients.
Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate an understanding of First Trimester Ultrasound based on evidence-based medicine and international recommendations.
- Develop competency and demonstrate the principle of first-trimester ultrasound anomaly screening.
- Strengthening understanding and importance of first trimester Pre-eclampsia Screening.
- Enhance clinical decision-making and practical skills through supervised hands-on training.
